Motorcycle Bloggers International Star Awards

Motorcycle Bloggers International is made up of moto blog people of only the very highest caliber: the finest riders, writers, prettiest lady riders, and of course handsomest men. That is to say, it's people just like you but who have motorcycle and scooter blogs. I belong, naturally.

Over at the MBI website you, dear friend, are invited to toss in your 2 cents worth (that's 0.134639 EUR for our European Union readers) about what you think of things in the motorcycle world. Yes, it's that time of the year again when you can nominate someone, something, or someplace for an MBI Star Award.
The MBI Star Awards are for the grand and the not-so-grand of 2007. My favorite, of course, is the annual Fallen Star "What were they thinking?" Award which one might liken to a motorcycle version of a pie in the face for the dumbest product or idea. That award should be given to some motor vehicle regulating bureaucrat but there are so many potential nominees that to single out the one who was especially, egregiously, stupid-beyond-all-others would be nearly impossible so you'll have to nominate the Battlestar Galactica Cylon fanboy who styled the Suzuki B-King instead or perhaps the people who tried to market adult diapers to motorcycle riders.

Head on over to the MBI website and nominate your favorite bike, person, company or product for their well deserved fame or infamy. You'll be a better person for it and maybe discover something about yourself that changes your life forever. OK, probably not going to be that dramatic but you can have some fun and see what your fellow blog readers and thinking is cool.

Motorcycle model that best demonstrates attention to using renewable resources and reducing damage to life on this planet

Object of lust
The production motorcycle of any model year that is desired above all others.

Thumbs up
The person or organization who during 2007, made the most significant contribution to motorcycling.

Wish we’d thought of that
The new in 2007 innovation, accessory or other motorcycle related product that is the best idea of 2007.

Women riders booster of the year
The person, company or organization that has most contributed to the advancement of women motorcyclists during 2007.

Most disappointing new motorcycle
The new in 2007 motorcycle that least met expectations.

Thumbs down
The person, company or organization who during 2007, most harmed the image of motorcycling.
